April Fools Day

April Fools Day

April first, this is the day we all put up the suit and tie and grab the clown nose. This is the day that we get to pull pranks on all of our families and friends. This is a very fun day because everyone’s getting pranked while you try to avoid getting pranked. But there are those people that take it way to far. They publically embarrasses you by making it look like you went to the bathroom in your pants. But this is the day you can pull the best pranks on your teachers. My language arts teacher doesn’t mind us playing pranks on her but she will get us back.

I believe this year I have school on April Fools Day. Which is good because I get to pull pranks on my friends and teachers. I have done some good pranks and people have done some good ones to me. One time in 4th grade some kids in my class got the principle to call us in and act like we were suspended. I think that this is one of the funniest holidays. I think this is going to be a fun April Fools Day!

SAINT PATRICK'S DAY!

Saint Patrick’s Day

Saint Patrick’s day can be painful for some people and fun for others. This is the day that everyone dresses up in green and whoever’s not wearing green get pinched! This is one of my most favorite holidays except when I don’t wear green. But most people can get in trouble because schools don’t take kindly to this. Because they will take it as bullying and you will get in trouble. This day is also about luck. If you find a three-leaf clover you will get good luck.

I usually have school on Saint Patrick’s Day so I cant stay home and sit around.  Only a few times I have found a three-leaf clover on Saint Patrick’s Day. You if you do have this day off you could spend it with your special person in your life. Or you sleep and watch movies all day long. I think I am going to enjoy this Saint Patrick’s Day! I cant wait till April Fools Day.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day

Valentines day is the day that everyone does something special with a person they love. They go out on a date, go to a cafĂ© and spend the day together or you stay home together.  Then in schools the kids give out valentines to their special girls or guys.  They usually exchange gift of affection. These might be chocolates, candy, flower, cards, bears and many more. And there are at least a hundred love movies on Valentines Day.

I usually have school on Valentines Day so I cant just stay home or go out. Except in middle school we don’t really do valentines because we have seven different classes. We can however send a “kiss” sucker to someone of our choosing for a dollar. Then also at the student store they sell stuff animals to give to someone special. All this will make an awesome valentines day this year!

thanksgiving

Thanksgiving

Its that time of year again when the turkey population plummets. The time of year when we pull out the extra-stretchy pants and start warring ridicules sweaters. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because you get you have giant feast! The different kinds of cranberry’s and the different sizes of turkeys.  When all of your relatives come to celebrate and bring food and sometimes gifts! On my thanksgiving my relatives come to celebrate with us! They bring different kinds of stuffing and cranberries. And my grandma brings the best potatoes you have ever tasted!

Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the 3rd Thursday of the month. This year thanksgiving is on Thursday November 28.We celebrate this holiday by eating a turkey that we stuff with delicious stuffing. You also (well in my opinion) have mashed potatoes and green beans with bacon! You also should usually have cranberries and homemade stuffing.  I can’t wait for this year because my relatives that I haven’t seen for a while are coming to visit. I hope you all have a great thanksgiving!

New year

Right after Christmas come the beloved holiday that is the passing of the year.  It’s when we make promises for the following year that we try to follow to make our lives better. Some promise to do better in school and some promise to stop drinking. Some promises are more serious then others. Mine are usually to do well in school and to have a good year. My grandparents and sometimes cousins come over to my house on new-year eve. And we usually have a big tasty dinner with lots of mashed potatoes and ham!
New-years is the day or rather night that we celebrate the passing of the old year and welcome the new-year. This is our deadline for our promises from last year and make new ones for the next year. The tradition is that at midnight the parents, grandparents, boyfriend and girlfriend kiss at midnight.

Christmas

This is my second favorite holiday cause I get to see all my relatives. Also I get gifts and all the great food. One year on Christmas eave my family and me went up in a balloon. It was really fun because it was our friend’s family that owned the balloon. We went up to about a mile. Then afterward we went and they bought us breakfast and we thanked them very much. This is just one of the many great things you can do on Christmas. You could also have an ugly sweater contest
Christmas is the day we celebrate the day that Christ was born. WE also celebrate the giving of gifts and just giving in the time of need. You can have big Christmas dinners where you go invite all your relatives over and visit and trade gifts. Also you get to watch all the old Christmas shows and movies like Rudolph the res nosed reindeer, a year without Santa clause and many more. You can make your famous snicker doodles and your fruitcake and trade cookies with in-laws and friends. Or you could go ice-skating and get hot chocolate and cookies afterward. I can already tell that this Christmas is going to be a great one!

Halloween

Halloween

It is that time of year again when the monsters come out to play.  When you stack up on tricks or treats, Or you have birthdays in October like me! I love this time of the year not just for my birthday but also for the season. The leaves are turning colors such as yellow and orange and its colder out, which I like to play in. Its nice to just go for a walk because its cool out and it just feels good.

The holiday we call “Halloween’’ was first started in the early late 1800s in the U.S. It is when kids/adults dress up and go house to house for candy. We usually dress up as our nightmare to feel powerful. The most common costumes are witches, mummies, and vampires. I like dressing up as random monsters because I’ve done the whole vampire thing. But overall Halloween is one of my most favorite holidays of the year!
